Born and raised in this community, Danielle grew up understanding the values that make Grand Coteau special: faith, family, tradition, and neighbors caring for one another. The lessons she learned here shaped her commitment to service and her belief that strong communities are built by people who are willing to show up and lead.
From the Classroom to City Hall
After dedicating years to educating students throughout St. Landry Parish, Danielle believes the time is right to return to public service in Grand Coteau. Her career as an educator strengthened her commitment to serving others, listening with compassion, and investing in the next generation, values she now hopes to bring back to local government.
As a former two-term Alderwoman, Danielle understands the importance of transparent leadership, responsible decision-making, and working together to address the needs of the community. She knows firsthand what thoughtful, collaborative leadership can accomplish for Grand Coteau.
Danielle believes Grand Coteau's greatest strength has always been its people. She is running for mayor to preserve the character and traditions that make our town special while leading with integrity, accountability, and a vision for a strong and vibrant future.
Why I am Running for Mayor
Grand Coteau deserves leadership that puts people first. I am running for mayor because I believe our community is strongest when its government is transparent, accountable, and responsive to the people it serves.
One of my first priorities is restoring confidence in our local government by addressing our town's financial compliance challenges and protecting the state and federal funding that Grand Coteau depends on. We cannot build for tomorrow without first strengthening the foundation we stand on today.
Beyond that, I am committed to bringing people together. I believe our greatest progress happens when residents, local businesses, civic organizations, and town leaders work side by side toward common goals. Together, we can preserve the traditions that define Grand Coteau while creating new opportunities for growth, prosperity, and future generations.
